* What formats are JWB's titles available in?


All
our books are published first of all as paperbacks. Only a small number are published as hardcovers. Increasing numbers of them are also available as ebooks, in a variety of formats that can be read on most commonly available devices. For the title you want, the available formats are listed under the cover image on the book's web-page.

* What's the best way to purchase JWB's titles?

For now, our publishing plan still stresses web-based distribution, so the best way to buy our books is through the Just World Books website: Just click on the yellow "Buy" button underneath the cover image on the book's page on our website to see what versions are offered, and then click on whichever version it is you want to buy.
In Fall 2011 we are in the midst of moving our order-fulfillment system over to the one run by our partners at OR Books. So increasingly, if you click on the Buy button on our web-page, it will take you to the relevant sales page on the OR Books website. (But there is a button there that brings you back to browse further on our website. Use it!) Other times, the link on our Buy button may take you elsewhere.

Over the year ahead, we also plan to sign more bookstores up to stock our titles. If you have a favorite local bookstore that you think may be interested in being stocking JWB's books-- or a college bookstore that you think should be stocking them!-- please send us the best info you have about who to contact there (usually, "the chief book buyer") and how to contact her/him.

* How long does it take for a print book to get to me? (For purchasers inside the United States)

If you're ordering a print book, our fulfillment partners-- at OR Books, Amazon, or elsewhere-- will ship it to you within two business days of receiving your order. Within the United States, you will be offered a range of shipping options at different prices. You choose between these options on the order form.
If the Buy button you click on takes you to the OR Books sales platform, they tell us that for urgent orders they can also ship via next-day air — just email them at  info@orbooks.com to request that.

* How long does it take for an ebook to get to me?

If you're ordering an ebook, the files will be sent to you as an email attachment as soon as your credit card info has cleared (1-2 business days.)

* Can the books be bought from places other than the United States? If so, how?

We have world rights to most of our books, and we ship globally. We accept all major credit cards.

Our print books are distributed directly from the facilities where they're printed-to-order, which are located in the United States, the United Kingdom, and possibly also, in the future, elsewhere. Though for many of our titles the prices are listed only in U.S. dollars, you can pay using a credit card denominated in any internationally accepted currency: Your order will be charged at the U.S. dollar price and converted to your local currency at the rate applicable at the time of the purchase.

For all non-U.S., non-European destinations, the usual mode of shipping is via the U.S. Postal Service international priority service. It is very reliable-- but it can take 10 or more business days for your order to reach you.
Orders to the U.K. and the rest of Europe will be shipped via the U.K.'s Royal Mail.

If you need the book more urgently, we can ship your order via UPS, which is faster though more expensive. Prices and estimated times of arrival are available upon request, and we're happy to answer any other queries you may have. Please write to our fulfillment partners at orders@orbooks.com.

* What if I don’t want to give my credit card number over the Internet?

If you live in the United States, just email us at info@orbooks.com and we’ll tell you where to send a check.

* I’ve bought the book and now I don’t want it – can I return it for a refund?

Sorry, we don’t accept returns of print books and we don’t give refunds on ebook sales. Only if the book you buy is defective can we offer a refund.

* I would like to inquire about examination or desk copies. Whom should I contact?

We are happy to send exam and desk copies to interested professors. For more information please contact info@justworldbooks.com.
